AK has just released several new products that include a new acrylic set and a new series of short books about naval modelling. Also, we have a new drying retarder, a decal adapter and up to six decal sheets for several subjects. But today we are going to take a look at the new AFV series acrylic sets for Russian colours. Check it out!
AK acaba de lanzar este mes una serie de nuevos productos que incluyen un nuevo set de colores y una nueva serie de libros cortos sobre modelismo naval. También nos trae un retardante de pintura, un adaptador de calcas y hasta seis hojas de calcas sobre diferentes sujetos. Pero lo que hoy vamos ver aquí son los dos nuevos sets de acrílicos de la serie AFV para colores rusos. No os lo perdáis!
En el segundo set tenemos otros seis colores. En este tenemos los tres tonos necesarios para poder aplicar el camuflaje de bordes duros visto en tanques Rusos modernos, y especialmente en las versiones de exportación. Adems de dos verdes y un azul grisáceo para representar todavía más camuflajes.

The Paint
We have talk plenty of times about the AK paint. They develop all these new colours with their "New formula" in their own factory. In case you want to read more about it, you can check the old post where we talk about this new formula here.
Hemos hablando muchas veces ya de la pintura de AK. Ellos desarrollan todos estos nuevos colores con su "New formula" en su propia fábrica. En caso de que queráis leer más al respecto, podéis repasar el post viejo donde hablamos de esta nueva formula aquí.
Modern Russian Colors Vol.1 (AK4130)
Both sets have several different colours to paint Russian camouflages. The first one gives us six colours to paint a wide range of camouflages used by Russian forces and many of the post-soviet states. Including Green Khaki (AK 4134) which is one of the most used and "standard" greens nowadays, and the well known Base Green Protective (AK4135).
Los dos sets tienen varios colores para pintar camuflajes Rusos. El primero de ellos incluye hasta 6 colores para pintar un amplio rango de camuflajes usados por fuerzas Rusas y muchos de los estas post-sovieticos. Incluye Green Khaki (AK4134) que es uno de los verdes más usados y "estándard" en la actualidad, y el bien conocido Base Green Protective (AK4135).

Modern Russian Colors Vol.II (AK4140)
In the second set we have another six colours. This time we get the three necessary tones in order to apply the brownish sharp-edge camouflage seen on modern Russian tanks, and especially on the exportation versions. Plus two greens and a blue gray to represent even more camouflages.
Using AK-4141, AK-4142 and AK-4143 we can reproduce this camo.
