Review AK Interactive December NEW products!

In this entry, we are going to review the Christmas new products from AK. Recently the Spanish company has released three new products of his AFV series destined to painting and weathering of vehicles. Among them, we can find two sets of acrylic paints “The Caunter Scheme 1940-41” (AK4030), “Tank Accessories” (AK4000) and one of enamel paints “Dust and Dirt deposits” (AK4060).

En esta entrada vamos a dar un repaso a las novedades para Navidad de AK, y es que recientemente la marca española ha lanzado tres productos de su serie AFV destinada a pintura y envejecido de vehículos. Entre ellos nos encontramos con dos sets de pinturas acrílicas “The Caunter Scheme 1940-41” (AK4030), “Tank Accesories” (AK4000) y uno de pinturas enamel “Dust and Dirt deposits” (AK4060). 

Challenger II Kfor (Base)

After some time I have ready the base painting of the Challenger II. All the work with acrylics it's done. Now it's the turn of the filters and oils to create chromatic richness and to help emphasize shadows and light of some places.

Después de un tiempo ya tengo lista parte de la base del Challenger II. Todo el trabajo con acrílicos esta acabado. Ahora le toca el turno a los filtros y óleos para ayudar a dar variedad cromática  a las superficies, y enfatizar sombras y luces en algunos lugares.

Review AK-Interactive NATO sets

A month back I went to my habitual modelling shop in Zaragoza (Kits). I was quickly attracted by a bunch of new sets. One of them was the new colour set for NATO tanks that I'd seen announced weeks ago. As I was building the Challenger II at that time, I decided to buy it. Here it's the review of the set along with the weathering set for NATO colours from the same brand. 

Hará un mes que fui a mi tienda de modelismo habitual en Zaragoza (Kits). Rápidamente me vi atraído por unos sets nuevos. Uno de ellos era el set de colores para tanques OTAN que había visto anunciado unas semanas antes. Como en ese momento estaba montando el Challenger II me decidí a comprarlo. Aquí tenéis el review junto con su set "hermano", el weathering set para colores OTAN de la misma marca.

Challenger II Kfor (Assembly / Montaje)

After few months fighting with the Trumpeter kit I have eventually finished it without going crazy. Two photoetched sets from Eduard and workable tracks from Bronco were added to complete the model. Here, you are going to find how this project starts, and with some patience, how it will end. Let's get started!

Después de unos meses peleandome con el kit de Trumpeter, finalmente lo he terminado sin volverme loco. Añadí dos sets de fotograbados de Eduard y unas cadenas "workables" de Bronco para completar el modelo. Aquí podréis encontrar como empezó este proyecto, y con un poco de paciencia, como terminara. Empecemos!
