I've just finished this small scene using the excellent Tamiya r35 

Acabo de acabar esta pequeña viñeta utilizando el excelente R35 de Tamiya

My first model kit was from Tamiya. Like many other modelers, I still enjoy building Tamiya kits. When I saw this little R35, I decided to buy it. Overall, it’s a good kit that assembles very easily and quickly. It has some typical simplifications from this brand that I removed and replaced with photo-etched parts and scratch-built details. I also used the 3D tracks from ET Models.

Mi primera maqueta fue de Tamiya. Supongo que como tantos otros modelistas, sigo disfrutando mucho montando maquetas de Tamiya. Y cuando vi este pequeño R35  me decidí a comprarlo. En sí, es una buena maqueta que se monta de forma muy fácil y rápida. Tiene algunas simplificaciones típicas de esta marca que eliminé y rehice con fotogrbados y scratch. También he utilizado las cadenas en 3D de ET models.

The most complicated and tedious part of the painting was creating the camouflage. The lines between the spots were hand-painted with a brush. I worked with oils for the shadows and highlights, adding chipping and dirt and dust effects using the lacquer and enamel paint technique. For the figures, I used references from different brands, modifying the arms and in the case of the horse figure, it is almost entirely modeled from scratch.

Lo más complicado y tedioso de la pintura fue hacer el camuflaje. Las líneas entre las manchas están hechas a pincel. Trabajé con óleos para las sombras y luces, añadiendo desconchones y efectos de tierra y polvo con la técnica de la laca y pintura enamel. Para las figuras, he utilizado referencias de diferentes marcas, a las que modifiqué los brazos; en el caso de la figura del caballo, está modelada casi en su totalidad.

The base is made almost entirely of styrofoam. The stones were carved one by one with a blade. Some of the elements, like the tiles or the pulley, are 3D printed. The tiles are a representation of real ones owned by my family, for which I modified the name of the saint to appear in French.

La base está hecha casi en su totalidad con styrofoam. Las piedras están grabadas una a una con cuchilla. Algunos de los elementos, como las tejas o la polea, están impresos en 3D. Los azulejos son una representación de unos reales, propiedad de mi familia, a los que modifiqué el nombre del santo para que apareciera en francés.
